Craig S. Charbonnet
Founder and President
After graduating LSU in 1979, Craig got his first start as a field landman working in the booming Tuscaloosa Trend in south Louisiana. One year later, Craig moved to Houston to start his career as an in-house landman. With over thirteen years in-house as Staff Landman with Marathon Oil Company, and Senior Landman/Land Manager with Plains Resources, Inc., Craig exited corporate land in 1994 and founded Craig S. Charbonnet, Inc., as a full service land company. By 2004 Craig opened a second office in Baton Rouge and established a company presence in Midland to service the Permian Basin. Craig is a member in good standing with the AAPL, PBLA, BRPL, HAPL and IRWA.

Kevin Kemmerly
Operations Manager
Kevin graduated from Springhill College in Mobile, Alabama in 1985 and entered the petroleum land profession in 1995. Kevin contracted with the company in 2004 as Operations Manager and oversees projects throughout the lower 48 states and manages the operations of our Baton Rouge office. With nearly two decades of experience as a landman, Kevin brings unique expertise to Charbonnet and his wide-range of experience includes all phases of land management. Kevin has exhibited the ability time and again to assemble sizeable crews of very competent land professionals that produce exemplary work in timely fashion.
Deborah Nunnallee, CPL
Operations Manager
Debbie comes from a family of landmen, her father being an attorney/landman and her two older brothers being landmen as well. Debbie has over nineteen years in the oil and gas land business and obtained her CPL in 2006. Debbie contracted with the company in 2000 and immediately contributed as quality control specialist and team leader. Debbie was integral in the growth and expansion of the company’s presence in the Permian Basin. Debbie is an expert in mineral and leasehold title and has extensive experience in all phases of field land work as well as crew management.
Our group consists of a core of loyal, highly motivated individuals led by a management team with extensive experience who serve our clients with a sense of urgency and professionalism. Our company is comprised of professional landmen who have worked together for many years, solidifying the cohesiveness and continuity of the Charbonnet team. We strive to exceed industry expectations using standardized procedures for lease acquisition, preparation of runsheets/abstracts and title curative. In addition to oil and gas services, we provide a full range of field services associated with pipeline rights-of-way and easement acquisition, and are licensed with the Texas Real Estate Commission for such work.
